YACHT CHARTER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is the charter fee calculated?
The charter fee is determined based on several factors. Below is a breakdown of how the charter fee is calculated:

-
Charter Fee: This is the primary cost covering the use of the yacht. It varies based on the type of yacht, its size, and the duration of the charter. This includes the captain who is driving the boat.

-
Crew Service Fee: It's common for larger boats to have a compulsory ratio of waitstaff on board to ensure safety and service quality. Depending on the boat, it can be a 1:25 or 1:15 waitstaff to guest ratio. Waitstaff will be charged at around $300 for 4 hours.

-
Docking Fees: usually $50 per pick-up and drop-off

-
Catering and BYO: If you opt for catering, water toys, or additional services, these will contribute to the overall cost. If you choose to bring your own food or drinks, a BYO fee of $15/person will incur.
Total Cost = Vessel Hire Hourly Rate * Charter Duration + Food + Beverages + Staff Fees + Optional Extras + Wharf Fees

Keep in mind most public wharves have a 15 minute boarding window, so we need to be organised on the day!
Can we go swiming ?
Of course, how can you be on the water and not get in the water? However, your safety is our primary concern, so we need to make sure it’s before too much drinking.
What are the payment terms?
-
DEPOSIT
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm charter.

-
FINAL PAYMENT
The balance of the charter fee is to be received as cleared funds no later than 3 days prior to the charter date.

-
BONDS
$2000 refundable bond payment is required to be received no later than 3 days prior to the charter date.
We will fully refund the bonds the next day of your charter if there is no damage of the yacht.
What if it's bad weather ?
The one thing we can’t control is the weather. The Captain will determine if it’s safe to take the yacht out and if so it’s full steam ahead. The yachts have plenty of room inside and undercover if there happens to be any wet weather, and the party continues .
Please understand we do not offer any refund simply because it's a rainy day or you change your mind.
Can I customize my itinerary for the yachting charter?
Absolutely! We encourage you to customize your itinerary to make the experience uniquely yours. Our team is happy to assist in planning the route, activities, and destinations based on your preferences. You can go wherever you want to as long as the weather allows and we have enough time to get back to the wharf on time.

Our experienced captain would also recommend the best route for you depending on the weather and traffic on that day . The most popular route will include iconic spots like : Opera house , Harbour Bridge , Darling Harbour and Royal Botanic Gardens .
Can I bring my own music?
Definitely! On board all of our boat charter vessels is an AUX cord or bluetooth speaker which is compatible with any music compatible device e.g. iPhone, iPod.
